Our immune system keeps us healthy and strong, it fights off diseases and infections. Below are 5 tips to boost your immune system to keep you going without being weighed down by illness.

1. Get Moving

Exercise has been proven to help your immune system. Regular moderate exercise is great for your heart, builds stronger bones, and keeps your body in shape to continue daily functions at an optimal level. Exercise also releases endorphins to help reduce stress.

2. Take Your Vitamins

Even a complete diet may not give you all the vitamins that your body needs on a daily basis. Taking a multivitamin will help fill in those gaps and provide your body with essential vitamins.

3. Balanced Eating

There is no need to cut out any food from your diet. Depriving yourself of foods you crave will just lead you to wanting it more and overeating that food. Instead of focusing on taking things out of your diet try adding things. Make sure to get vegetables in at each meal, drink more water, add in whole grains.

4. Sleep

You have probably heard this millions of times but sleep is SUPER important. Getting enough sleep helps protect your mental, physical health, and quality of life. Not only does it allow your body to recharge but helps you focus and concentrate much better throughout the day.

5. Manage Stress

Stress is a big toll on our bodies. It can decrease the amount of killer immune cells throughout the body, which makes it difficult to fight off disease and infections. Managing stress will let your body return to normal functioning quicker.
