3 Ways to Use Protein Powder
Protein powder is a great way to get extra protein into your diet after a hard workout.
Try out these different ways to use your protein powder.
1. Protein Pancakes
2 (20g each) scoops protein powder
1 large very ripe banana
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 large eggs
Separate the egg white and the yolk
Beat the egg whites for 2 minutes to form soft peaks
Add the egg yolks and the rest of the ingredients into a bowl and mix
Gently mix the egg whites into the mix as well
Cook on a skillet for about 60-90 seconds on each side
2. Protein Powder Cookie Dough
5 Tbsp Protein powder, of choice (30g) *
1 Tbsp Coconut Flour (6g) - or flour of choice
Pinch of sea salt
2 Tbsp + 2 tsp Unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp Unsweetened Vanilla almond milk (optional but recommended)
1/4 tsp Butter extract (optional but recommended)
1/2 Tbsp Mini chocolate chips
Mix together the protein powder, flour, and salt.
Add in the applesauce, almond mil and butter extract. Stir until fluffy and mixed. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Enjoy right away or put in the fridge for 10-15 minutes!
3. Protein Powder Oatmeal
1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
1 cup water
1/2 banana, sliced (optional)*
pinch of sea salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon + 1/2 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
1 scoop protein powder
Your favorite topping
Add oats, banana slices and sea salt to a pot.
Add water and stir to combine. Add cinnamon and vanilla, if using.
Heat over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes or until all the liquid has been absorbed. Be sure to stir the oats!
All the liquid should be absorbed and the oats will be thick and fluffy.
Remove oats from the heat and stir in protein powder. If the consistency of the oats gets too thick, add in a little more water or milk
Put your oats into a bowl and top with your favorite oatmeal toppings. I used chocolate chips, peanut butter and bananas.
