Why Stay Active During a Pandemic?
As everything in your life may be changing, exercise is probably one of the last things on your mind. These are 3 reasons why exercise is one of the most important things to do during this pandemic.
Decreases Risk of Many Preventable Disease
Exercise has been shown to decrease risk of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, strokes, and many more. The coronavirus, and most other illnesses, tend to hurt those with pre-existing diseases harder.
Mental Health
Change and isolation can be very hard on people. During this time those that deal with depression, anxiety, and other similar disorders may be struggling more than ever. Exercise has been shown to reduce depression.
A Better Outlook
It can be hard to stay positive during a time like this. Exercise helps increase one's mood, which will cause that person to have a better outlook on the situation overall. We can not change what is going on but exercise can help us get through without being upset the entire time.
